And the cost?
Of course, the fee will depend on exactly what's required, but as a rough guide, my prices are as follows:
Design of a fairly straightforward site with up to four pages: £200. This includes webhosting for a year.
Subsequent years of webhosting and site maintenance: £50.
Image processing (for example, turning an unsuitable snapshot into a striking web graphic): £10 per image.
Animated graphics: from £10 each, depending on complexity.
Shopping cart and online payment facilities: POA.
Forms and automated email forwarding of form information: POA.
Occasional updates of the text: no extra charge. Plenty of designers have a hefty minimum charge which they'll want just for changing a few sentences.
I believe those prices are unbeatable, but if you can find a web designer offering a similar service for less, let me know, and I'll try to match that price. I can accept payments in any major currency via PayPal or bank transfer.
